Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our products

What are the advantages of nylon rods over metal?
Nylon rods offer self-lubrication, corrosion resistance, lightweight, and quieter operation compared to metal. They don't require external lubrication in many applications and won't damage mating metal parts. However, they have lower load capacity than metal and can absorb moisture.
Does nylon absorb moisture?
Yes, nylon absorbs moisture from the atmosphere, which can cause dimensional changes (typically 1-2%). For precision applications, allow the material to reach equilibrium moisture content before final machining. Black and filled grades absorb less moisture than natural nylon.
