Polycarbonate film is compatible with multiple printing methods: Screen printing provides excellent durability and opacity; Digital UV printing offers full-color capabilities with good adhesion; Thermal transfer is ideal for variable data and barcodes. Always use inks formulated for polycarbonate and consider flame or chemical surface treatment for maximum adhesion.

Polycarbonate film offers superior impact resistance, higher heat resistance (120°C vs 150°C), and better ink adhesion compared to PET. PET film is more economical, has better chemical resistance, and lower moisture absorption. Choose polycarbonate for demanding applications requiring durability and printability; choose PET for cost-sensitive applications with less demanding requirements.

Standard polycarbonate film will yellow and degrade with prolonged UV exposure. We offer UV-stabilized grades specifically formulated for outdoor use that resist yellowing and maintain clarity. For outdoor applications, specify UV-stabilized or request a protective UV coating.

Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth with mild soap and water. Avoid ammonia-based cleaners (like Windex), alcohol-based solutions, and abrasive materials. For hard-coated films, the surface is more scratch-resistant but should still be cleaned gently. Always clean in one direction rather than circular motions.
